Depart Sapa

You will depart from the Sapa Summit Hotel at 7:00 AM or Lao Cai at 8-8:30 AM for a 110 km, 3 hour bus ride to the Bac Ha Market, the largest tribal market in the region.

Itierary

Bac Ha is the meeting place of many different ethnic tribes who come to share their culture as well as sell their wares, food, and livestock. At the market, you will have the opportunity to experience all of the different tribes' foods and unique clothing. At lunch you can taste local dishes and try the wines made from rice, corn, and fruit. Upon leaving you will see the H'mong king's house that was built by the French and Chinese in the 1920s. You will leave the market in the afternoon for a return to Sapa or for the night train to Lao Cai.
